1.Agreement
By using Nima you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use Nima on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you may bind it to these terms.
2.Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age for consenting to online services in your country, to use Nima. Paid plans require that you are legally able to enter a contract or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
3.Accounts and guest access
- You may read as a guest without creating an account. Guest data lives in your browser or device and may be lost if you clear it.
- Signing in with Google or Apple creates an account and moves your guest data into it.
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your provider sign-in secure. Tell us promptly at uptocodejs@gmail.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
- You may delete your account at any time from Account. Deletion is permanent.
4.The service
Nima provides original and licensed stories in Arabic and English, with synchronized narration, a personal library, and reader preferences. We may add, change, or remove stories and features at any time, and we may suspend the service for maintenance.
Narration is generated with the help of speech-synthesis technology from editorial text approved by our editors. It is provided for personal listening and may contain errors of pronunciation.
5.Your licence to the content
All stories, narration, artwork, software, and design in Nima belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to read, listen to, and save content within Nima for your own non-commercial use.
- You may not copy, download, record, redistribute, publicly perform, sell, or create derivative works from the content, except as the service itself allows (for example, saving a story to My Library).
- You may not remove notices of ownership or circumvent technical protections.
- Quotation for review, criticism, teaching, or reporting is permitted to the extent allowed by applicable law, with attribution to the author and to Nima.
6.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- access the service by automated means (scraping, bulk downloading) or interfere with its operation or security;
- attempt to gain access to accounts, systems, or data that are not yours;
- use the content or narration to train machine-learning models or to build a competing service;
- misrepresent your identity or your relationship with Nima;
- use Nima in a way that breaks the law or infringes anyone's rights.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. Where practical we will warn you first.
7.Paid plans (when offered)
Nima is currently free. We intend to offer optional paid plans in the future. When we do, the following terms apply in addition to any specific terms shown at the point of purchase.
- What you get. Each plan describes the features it unlocks. Everything not listed as part of a plan stays free, and guest reading remains available.
- How you pay. Plans purchased in the apps are billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) to the payment method on your store account, and are subject to those stores' terms. Plans purchased on the web are billed by the payment provider named at checkout. We never see your full card details.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the price shown when you subscribed, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel a store subscription in your App Store or Google Play settings, and a web subscription from Account.
- Price changes. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price increase takes effect. If you do not agree, cancel before the new price applies and you will keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds. Purchases through the App Store and Google Play are refunded under those stores' policies; contact the store first. For web purchases, tell us within 14 days of a first purchase and we will refund it if you have not used the paid features substantially, unless local law gives you more.
- Free trials and offers. If a plan begins with a free trial, the store will charge you when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Trials and introductory offers are limited to one per person.
- Taxes. Prices include any applicable VAT or sales tax unless the checkout says otherwise.
- Ending a plan. If we discontinue a plan we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid period pro rata. If your account is closed for breaching these terms, no refund is due.
8.Third-party services
Sign-in, hosting, payments, and app distribution rely on third parties (including Apple, Google, Vercel, MongoDB Atlas, UploadThing, ElevenLabs, and RevenueCat). Their services are governed by their own terms. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and have no obligation to provide support for Nima.
9.Changes and availability
We aim to keep Nima available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change these terms; when we do, we will post the new version here with a new date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Nima after that date means you accept the new terms.
10.Termination
You may stop using Nima and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service, in which case we will give reasonable notice where possible. Sections on licence, disclaimers, liability, and governing law survive termination.
11.Disclaimers
Nima is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Stories express the views of their authors, not ours, and narration may contain errors. Nothing in Nima is professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.
12.Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Nima. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
13.Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which the operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in its courts. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring proceedings there. Before starting any proceedings, please contact us at uptocodejs@gmail.com; most issues can be resolved informally.
14.General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Nima. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them to a successor that takes over the service.
